Hello,

Salvador Castillo Placensia V (he/him), known professionally as Cinco, is a Philadelphia-based interdisciplinary artist whose work bridges immersive performance, cutting-edge technology, and innovative puppetry.

His puppet project Blue Silk has recently toured several festivals, including the Philadelphia Fringe Festival '24 (with Cannonball Festival grant support), Maas & Friends Festival '25, and the Denver Fringe Festival '25. Cinco brings his technical expertise and creative vision to Philadelphia's vibrant experimental theater community.

Cinco's collaborative spirit has led to significant partnerships with leading artistic innovators. He served as Artist-in-Residence at the Heller Center for Arts and Humanities (University of Colorado Colorado Springs), co-produced How to Get to The River with New Paradise Laboratories and Janani Balasubramanian (funded by the Pew Foundation), and worked as assistant producer on Janani's projects. His association with The Public Theater included multiple residencies for The Gift, which premiered at the Lincoln Center and continues touring nationally.

Notable collaborations include work with Manual Cinema's Frankenstein, Sister Sylvester's Brecht Forensics: Drinking Brecht, Janani Balasubramanian's Rogue Objects, New Paradise Laboratories' 707 Hazardous Moves, and Pig Iron Theater Company's The Path of Pins or the Path of Needles.
